Ayyuhā l-muslimūn, ittaqū-llāha wa‘lamū anna l-waqta huwa l-ḥayāh. Qāla-llāhu ta‘āla: ﴿Wa huwa lladhī ja‘ala al-layla wan-nahāra khilfatan liman arāda an yadhakkar aw arāda shukūrā﴾… First Khutbah: All praise is due to Allah. O you who believe, fear Allah as He should be feared, and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].
