Sideloading via this version is less aggressive. It no longer immediately blocks non-Play Store updates if you have “Unknown sources” enabled — just a single warning then proceeds.
Scrolling through screenshots and descriptions is noticeably smoother. Google seems to have trimmed some heavy JavaScript layers. On a Shield TV Pro (2019), the stutter is almost gone. google play store (android tv 7.5 08 apk)
Voice search via the remote now correctly prioritizes TV-optimized apps first (e.g., SmartTube instead of generic YouTube). The Bad 1. Still laggy on older hardware On a Mi Box S (Android TV 9) and a TCL 3-Series TV, the 7.5.08 APK takes 4–5 seconds to load fully. Scrolling through “Top Free” still drops frames.
