Until then, the wait for 28 Years Later continues—but for hdfilmcehennemi, the infection has already begun.

Sony Pictures has already issued emergency takedown notices targeting the platform. However, legal experts say the damage may already be done: a low-quality “telecine” copy allegedly recorded during a test screening in London is rumored to be circulating on the site’s private Telegram channel.

“For Turkish pirates, 28 Years Later is the holy grail,” said digital piracy analyst Murat Kaya. “The original 28 Days Later was a cult hit on physical media here. hdfilmcehennemi’s user base has already started creating fake seed files for the sequel, hoping to trap users with malware before the real leak happens.”

The site operates in a legal gray zone. While Turkey has blocked dozens of its domains (hdfilmcehennemi71, hdfilmcehennemi82, etc.), the platform simply regenerates new addresses. Currently, searches for “28 Yıl Sonra hdfilmcehennemi” yield over 12,000 results, most linking to phishing pages disguised as the Danny Boyle-directed film.
