For millions of gamers, the phrase "Horizon Xbox 360" instantly revs the engine of nostalgia. While the PlayStation would later claim the Horizon Zero Dawn name, on Microsoft’s iconic white-and-green console, meant only one thing: freedom.

The Xbox 360 servers for the original Horizon were finally shut down in 2016, but its spirit never died. It established a blueprint that Forza Horizon 5 still follows today. For collectors, a physical copy of "Horizon" for the Xbox 360 is more than a game disc—it’s a time capsule of an era when open-world racing felt dangerous, loud, and utterly euphoric.

When released the original Forza Horizon in 2012, it was a seismic shift. Up until then, the Forza Motorsport series was a sterile, perfect simulation—a love letter to track days and tire pressure. Horizon ripped up that rulebook. It dropped players into a fictional Colorado music festival, handing them the keys to a rainbow-colored wristband and a radio station (RIP to the bass drop on "Levels" by Avicii).
