Here’s why it’s brilliant:

"You're crying." – Gon, completely missing social cues while holding a sword to a grieving assassin’s heart.

On the surface, it’s a setup episode—the gang is trapped in the Phantom Troupe’s hideout, and Gon is forced to sit down for tea with Nobunaga. But this episode is secretly one of the most terrifying character studies in the whole series.
