The episode ends with her walking into the fire (metaphorically) as a slave bride, while her brother boasts about his crown. The genius of “Winter Is Coming” is that it doesn’t feel like a pilot. It feels like a novel. It respects the audience’s intelligence. It gives us Ned Stark as the hero, then immediately shows that honor gets you killed in this world (or at least pushes children out of towers). It gives us a magical threat, then buries it under politics and gold. juego de tronos temporada 1 capitulo 1
