Floor is about 1200–1500D polyethylene (thin). Sidewalls feel like lightweight polyester. A sharp pebble or an excited dog’s nail can puncture it easily. Use a footprint or tarp.

The 4-person has a center height of ~52 inches (4’4”). Not stand-up, but you can change clothes while kneeling. The 6-person (~60 inches) is better for taller folks. Cons (The Bad & The Ugly) 1. The Rainfly is a Joke This is the biggest complaint. The fly only covers the top mesh dome, leaving the lower 12–18 inches of sidewall fully exposed. They’re cheap, brittle, and prone to splintering in wind or if you bend them too aggressively. Replacements are hard to find because Magellan doesn’t sell pole parts separately.

Two-pole dome design. Even a novice can pitch it in 5–7 minutes . Color-coded pole sleeves (grey vs. black) and clips (not sleeves) on the newer models speed things up.
