Reliable, secure, but massive – a solid server OS for hybrid environments
I recently downloaded the official Microsoft Windows Server 2022 ISO from the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) / Visual Studio Subscriptions portal. Here’s my honest take after deploying it in a test lab.
A worthy upgrade from 2019, especially for security and Azure hybrid scenarios. Just ensure your hardware is compatible and you choose the correct edition (Standard vs Datacenter, Core vs Desktop Experience).
Verify the SHA-256 checksum after downloading. Microsoft’s official ISO hash is listed on their docs page – do not skip this.
