Router - Requires Newer Winbox Please Upgrade

Go download the latest WinBox from mikrotik.com. Save it somewhere obvious. The next time you update a router, update your tools first.

Don’t worry. This isn’t a hardware failure. Here’s what’s actually happening and how to get back online in under two minutes. MikroTik constantly updates RouterOS. As they add new features (VXLAN, Wireguard improvements, container support, etc.), they update the communication protocol between WinBox and the router.
